With assistance from the University of Florida’s GeoPlan Center, the 1000 Friends of Florida organization prepared this visual look at what development in Northeast Florida will look like in the year 2060 if current patterns of growth continue unchanged. This graphic formed the foundation for Reality Check First Coast, an exercise involving input from about 500 residents, which offered four different growth patterns that regional planners say could allow for better quality of life in 2060 Northeast Florida.
